I have a car but can't get it down the road. It is too dangerous. I'll be glad to get back to the rain :o)))

We can't get out of the village, and it's our weekly shop day tomorrow - so we have fingers crossed as well.

We're snowed in again, too - another foot overnight, eucalyps bowing to the ground. Oh well, we've got plenty of food, flour for bread,wood for the woodburner and food for the birds so we'll be warm and cosy here. The forecast looks pretty dire for the next week at least. I just hope the elderly are keeping warm and to hell with the bills!

Looks great as it first arrives and a bit of a novelty but ours still here 3 weeks later with little sign of any thaw.

Popped into our nearest Asda a couple of days ago and lots of shelves were empty because of panic buying! Hope you get your delivery OK, Holly. We've had snow last night and most of the day but it's not settling very much although bitter cold.

It reached the Isle of Wight too, big time. All the plants including an established Coronilla and Eucalyptus have been totally flattened under the heavy snow. We have had 30 or more cm here, All the schools are closed and I can't get into work. My garden is ruined :(

Hope your garden survives better than you dare think, Andrea. It is surprising how things survive in such extreme conditions. Fingers crossed for you.

They say it`s good to share Holly and we wouldn`t want you to miss out,lol. Hope your delivery get`s through and that you are feeling better soon. Nice photo`s......

There is no sign of a let up any where its just snow snow and more snow.As I dont drive it is a taxi for me to the shops.

Andrea, the snow may protect your more tender plants from the severe cold coming in from the east. I'll keep my fingers crossed with Gee.

thanks to you all.......lets hope it doesnt last to long......did not get my asda shop, they cancelled it due to the weather....... so put on my boots and tried not to slip on the way to local shops..... got there ok only to find... they had sold out of mil kand bread..... hte 2 things i most wanted, oh i will walk up to the onestop then i said, only to be told they havnt got any left up there either...... so dont know what to do at the moment..... got some horrible powdered milk..... cant be without my tea in the morings..... got the dogs food and a coup;le of bits.. will just have to see how thingsgo..... the trouble is everyone is at home ,so local shop is selling out fast.... as i suffer with my lungs in th ewinter , i cant get to the shop to early in th emorning....oh well....not much i can do at the moment.... hope you are all warm and have managed to get your shopping done........please excuse my typing as i have a new laptop and not quite used to it yet......lol

Thank you BB...... i decided to join the milkman, which i did online.. and today he has brought me milk..hooray... so i can have my tea...... bread and some groceries i ordered..... he comes round in all weathers so i have put in a milk and bread order for 3 times a week, which is a great help..... hope you keep safe and warm too............

That's brilliant, Holly. Haven't seen a milkman in years, let alone one that delivers groceries as well!

Thanks Gee19, Wagger......... slid down to local shop today.... they have milk and bread in now......the milkman is good as you can order what you want online..... they have a good variety of things , handy when you dont want to go to shops... i think you can do it any where across the country..... go to milkandmore.co.uk
