A few random shots

Hello I would just like to share a few favourite shots today
First of all two pics from the allotment – I picked my first sweet pea today – the seeds were set in March and have done well – my autumn sowing went hopelessly wrong so I tried a Spring sowing
The asparagus has done well this year and best recipe has been to add it to a pasta – it works really well
We bought a Torbay Palm in our earlier years while on holiday in Devon it was in a pot and not very big and it did well – we set it in our garden but unfortunately a really hard frost completely wiped it out and we had to take it down and then the next year it threw up a shoot and now has never looked back and flowers magnificently
The skies are darkening here in Shropshire at the moment and I can hear the rumble of thunder
Enjoy your weekend all you gardeners – bye for now- 10 Jun, 2023

Yes Meadowland - that is the trouble with trees you get attached to them and then they grow out of the garden - our old pine tree is propped up and will undoubtedly go in a gale and the holly tree has to be pruned back this has to be done at the right time to prevent the absence of berries later in the year - Thankyou for your comment
Hywel yes I love sweet peas but they seem to be disaster prone for me the ones that were sown in the autumn - vanished into thin air a mouse so I am told probably the same mouse that ate my sunflower seeds in the green house - thankyou for your comment

What a lovely palm with flowers. I have one but unfortunately for me, gives me migraine attacks, so unable to visit my garden till they die off usually about 3 weeks lol

I sowed my sweet peas in the autumn but won't do it again!! It was a lot of work keeping them going and they are no better for it!! Your first one is a pretty shade of pink.
Your palm is a beauty and is obviously thriving once more.

Sweet peas are lovely aren't they. I'm glad you've got some. I didn't sow any this year - left it too late ...
