i thought i would show you what i am trying out,i have planted 2 rainbow carrot seeds,one in a length of drainpipe obviously with a split in it…one in a metal square shape.. made up of 2 Lshaped pieces of thin metal tied together..i looked the other day and the square one had a few very thin tiny roots coming out so i put it in a plant pot,will put pics on in a few weeks when i open them..
the tin one is.. one and a quarter inch wide.. two feet long..the other is also two feet long

Great experiment ... what colours from the rainbow would you like to see ... wonderful if they were to grow square ... you'd have the perfect diced carrot !

hi Angie it will be if they turn out ok ,went up to our allotment today to carrots up & didnt get a one from a full bed of about 25..they were all eaten undrground yet the top fern looked healthy..just no carrots.. ah well try again next year..:o)
