Single stork on my chimney

So these are photos of the stork, who had chosen chimney on our house as his rescue place after strong winds rolled over the Continent.
Love him now.
While leaving home for work today, I noticed him again above my head. I came closer and he noticed me.
I started to tlk with him, telling him how beautiful he/she is, as it really looks like marabu.
As a shy child he started to stretch, first one wing, then he/she added a leg. It looked almost like tai-chi above the road. I think it is baby stork.
So yesterday he/she was on a chimney, today on electricity pillar. I wonder, what happened with his friends. And with his/her nest.
It would be wonder, if he just selected our roof and decided to settle down. We will see, wish him a GOOD LUCK and Merry Christmas.

Sorry, first Merry Christmas to you, too. I was just curious what dog it is on your profile. It looks like erdel terrier to me.

Conker my Sheltie is doing well, Katarina ..
...thank you for asking ...
There are photos of my two current dogs, Conker and Truffle, on my blog "Free Cake" published on GoY today ...
PS. Dog on my avatar pic. is my lovely Welsh Terrier who died three years ago, but he follows me around everywhere on GoY with his wheelbarrow. :o)
Welsh Terriers do look like little Airedale Terriers.

He/she looks well...the Tai-Chi is keeping him fit. Tommyshortlegs should see this. GoY has a sister site about birds Katarina, it is called " Ispyabird "
I will begin telling the story tomorrow.

Hello Bornagain and wish you all the best in a New Year, too.
No, the stork flew away after 2 days of rest. I want to believe he will find his family and food too, as in winter here arenĀ“t neither frogs nor slugs.

Is this stork still in your place. I think it should fly to africa for winter.
25 Jan, 2012
No. Good for her. She appeared just for two days. Then she disappeared. I think it was young one, who was lost during strong winds which were here before Christmas. I hope she did not die.
Yes, they should be at this time in Lebanon or Spain, I am not sure, if storks cross the Mediterranean sea... They do not fly actively as geese, they just flow with the warm streams of air over the Continent. They "follow" shores of the Mediterranean and reach Africa through Middle East.
