Park Guell

Park Guell was designed by Antoni Gaudí and built in the years 1900 to 1914. It has an extension of 17.18 ha (0.1718 km²).
Gaudí ´s multicolored mosaic salamander is guarding the entrance to the park. It is called by Barcelonians “el drac”.
It was partially destroyed by vandals, now is shining in its original beauty.
Most of all, I was fascinated by trees, which Gaudí projected as pillars, made from stones from local hill in order they look naturally…And they do.
Look, this is bark of a real tree. Incredible, isn´t it?
Real trees have real nests. And they are there! Look up!
How ingenious is this municipal garden…
View at a fairy villa…
..and on Barcelona, with another´s famous monument never to be finished Sagrada Família.
Lavender balls…
Rosmaries with some yellow flowers….
…and mediterranean succulents growing from stone walls.
Gaudí ´s house “La Torre Rosa” with furniture he designed fits here enormously well. Wow, how beautiful it could have been to live here, surrounded by trees, flowers and high bright sky.
This park brings peace to all senses.
Colours…smells…
Extremely large rosemary bushes. I guess it can grow into this size only in the Mediterranean.
…and some really clear classical guitar sensation, of course.

So that was Park Guell. My first touch with the spring this year and my first long walk in a park.
Great opus, Master Gaudí.

Hi TT, Thank you, but I was still working on it when you did it, lol. I am clumsy today, mixed some photos.
Hi Sticki. He was playing a beautiful romance, which is sometimes called (at least here) "Eternal Pilgrims after Love". Unfortunately I didn´t find it played by classic guitar, so I choosed another nice guitar. Thank you. Photos were made by iPhone.
