Noris spleen.

Noris is 1,5 year old French bulldog.
He loves gardens, gardening and me. The gardener.
He likes cats, but no dogs in my vicinity.
Even when I am out of home for several hours and I arrive, he first sniffs my calves and ankles (jealousy?) and then jumps up to the chair in order he can “kiss” me, as he is not as tall, as me.
He likes sun and sunbathing on the balcony.
But he hates raining and it is raining here for the 5th day.
We returned today from a morning walk, and he was in deep depression from all that water around him…

This weather really pisses me off!

Kat, what is the weather forecast for today?

Raining?

It makes me so sad and bored.

But? What but? The weather is going to improve? When?

On Monday?!

Anyway, some good news is better, then any. I must stretch my stiffed boooooooody.

Such an expression!

I love the look of the picture on the wall behind Noris's chair.

German painting from the beginning of the 20th century. I am glad you like it.

Sorry Norris, just couldn't help laughing - never seen such a gloomy looking dog. Cheer up it will not rain for ever!
Brilliant photos, especially no.6!

Lol, Snoopdog. Hi, Steragram, I liked his expression he had for a while on the 6th photo, so I immortalised it, lol. I wondered, what he was thinking of at that moment...

Oh dear that is such a sad face Norris, I have a friend named Brynner who also hates the rain, I have to force him outside when its wet and he sulks and turns his back on me pretending he cannot hear me, lol.....

Hi Scottish, unfortunately, Noris has got some abdominal flu, too, lol, so today we had warm clothes inside, blankets, massage of the belly (he likes it) and yogurts :-)

Everybody is impressed by Noris sad face. It was partially intention, but he is not sad at all, only when it is raining or I am out from home for several days. Next time I will bring his laughing face. You will not recognize him. He has a smile of Jerry Lewis comedian when he is smiling on us.

He is a star, and he knows it! Quite Chaplinesque!

Yes, he pulled me out of depression. I am sometimes afraid, if I didn t contaminated him too much with my spleen. So I give him A LOT of love.

My mother is 87. She lives not far away and my two sisters and my brother are also close, so we keep a eye on her! She lives alone, looks after herself and still drives (in fact, just 3 months ago she took herself off and bought a new car). Some time ago, her dog died (she used to breed dogs, and was a show judge). In practical terms, her life was easier - she didn't need to worry about being out for a longish time if she visited us and she didn't have to worry about being tripped up! But she wasn't happy without a dog. So she took on a dog who was not in the best of condition, and one who had not had the happiest time in his first 5 years. It cost her vet fees, it is a challenge to train him to live as a pet, and she is no longer fancy free. But she is SO much happier! So I understand how you feel about Noris.

Well, she has some motivation. It is good, if she can afford to buy a car and dogs at that age. I take care for three retired people in the family, they have so low pensions, that without my support they would easily become homeless. They all three worked all their lives and two of them are college graduates. But they were never communists and retired when we had national currency. So calculated now, it is awful sum of money. This is reason for my spleen.

I am so sorry to hear that, Katarina. We are indeed fortunate.

16 Sep, 2014

There is no need to feel sorry, Melchi. I have just illustrated that some people donĀ“t have motivations.

17 Sep, 2014

I understand that, Katarina. It is both good and desirable to recognise one's own good fortune.

I am now out of home, for a holiday. I have got phone call from my mother, that Noris got again his "asthma attack". We do not know, if it is real asthma, as he has it always exactly in time when I am not at home. I saw him having it once or twice. It looks like sobbing...

17 Sep, 2014

Aah, poor Noris. He doesn't like you to go away, does he? Perhaps he gets anxious, and that brings on asthma. But perhaps it is a coincidence. In any case, I hope you are enjoying your holiday. Everyone needs her holiday :-)

17 Sep, 2014

I miss him, too :-) But yes, I needed holiday. I am looking forward to that burst of joy on weekend, when I will arrive :-)

18 Sep, 2014

;-)

18 Sep, 2014

Today he had the second asthma attack in the night. It seems, I must close it here earlier.

19 Sep, 2014

I am sorry to hear that.

22 Sep, 2014

Now I must say, that Noris ignores me for the first day (:-)) and he wants to sleep with my parents, in their bed, between them. He doesn t want to sleep in his armchair I had in my room, hahaha. Ach, cutie...

22 Sep, 2014

Clever cutie! ;-)
