Easter Sunday lunch at The Tileworks.

We drove, a short distance, to the Humber Bridge GC and restaurant yesterday.
It’s also called The Tileworks, not as productive but they do use old tiles in restoration projects.
We were a little early having lunch, but it was still fairly busy, especially as we were leaving.
We popped in to the GC and gift shop first, bought a couple of plants, as you do.
Then we took a short stroll before heading back home to garden for the rest of the day.
The weather was fine in the morning, some cloud but sunny spells.
Then after lunch, it really warmed up in the sunshine, especially while gardening.
I tackled the front and OH busied himself in the back.
Quieter today, although a quick jaunt to a GC to pick up a couple more little plants that were required- of course!
Hope you’re all enjoying the Easter break.
Sad news about Pope Francis passing this morning. I’m Catholic, although not a practising one, sad news all the same.

Bought and planted this Halimium.

Bought this Hebe also and now planted.

Thanks Julia, it’s become very popular. They’ve extended the restaurant as they initially only served drinks and snacks/cakes. Now it’s meals also and wine!
Yes, sad news about the Pope. 🙏

i often go there but usually on a motor bike so although we eat i can only drool in the gc part. not much space in the top box for plants. same with Breezy Knees gc.

He was a Pope that was of the people and I am sure he will be hard to replace.

Snap! I bought that lovely halimium recently too! I love to see those big old gnarled Olive trees. They can be pricey, but I think they are worth the money if you have it. Mine was a baby in comparison, but it’s already doubled the size of its crown.
