Just a few shots of the garden earlier this week, as we sat out when the temperature was very pleasant..at night.

Yes, it is, thanks so much, Julia! I just thought I’d post some pics at night for a different perception ☺️

You've given me an idea! I think Waterfall is one of the prettiest Acers.

That's lovely Kate I've never had any lighting in the garden, food for thought :-))

Go for it, Julia! 🤗

Thanks Jane, we’ve always had lights, different ones throughout the years.
It’s nice to look out at night and see plants etc highlighted. Especially on a summers evening sat out when it’s warm. Definitely worth considering 👍

Lovely Kate. I can picture you sitting there with your glass of something nice. I do love garden lights. They add a whole new dimension.

I like the way your lighting is subtle Kate..must create a lovely atmosphere.

What a wonderful way of seeing the garden - at night! :) It gives a whole new perspective to your garden, Kate!

Thank you, Karen, you’re definitely spot on, it does add a new dimension. The pics don’t highlight it as well as in reality, but, I’m pleased you like. We do certainly sit out on a warm evening with a glass or two!

Thanks again, Julia. It really does give you a lovely soft light in the late evenings, early evenings during the cold months.
We’ve lights everywhere out back and on the house! The planes flying into Humberside airport must use our garden as a beacon to the airport!

Thanks so much for your message, Balc. I’m looking out now as I type, it is very uplifting.

beautiful photos and doesnt lighting enhance the garden? I can see why it is a lovely place to sit [with or without a glass or two :) ]
Our neighbour has hers lit all night which is a bit annoying as she has it so it changes colour every 30 mins. very eerie glows. I think hubby plans a quiet word haha.
she has complained of all the moths they attract and she'd asked how she could kill them. I had suggested turning the lights off when she went to bed. But not yet.

It looks amazing Kate! I can't believe we are able to sit out at night in May. I hope that doesn't mean June is going to be a wash out!

Thank you, Eileen. It’s nice on an evening 🍷
I can’t quite understand lights being on all night! How bizarre!!!! No one would benefit from this - it would unsettle the birds poor things, plus moths are quite lovely and yes you’re right… just switch the lights off!
You can hope she takes the hint soon 🤞

Rose, thank you, and I said the exact same thing today - I hope June isn’t cold and wet! It’s been so lovely this month so far.
