Thank Lincs. I am in Thames water, so as Franny says we have ours lifted too, mind you the garden is like puddin so need for a hosepipe (yet!)

Just heard on our local news, Southeast water will not be lifting thier ban this year!
Funny that the area including the Olympics has had it lifted & they have had no more rain fall than Kent.

Great News, I did say that it was not going to stop raining till they lift the ban! This country is famous for it's rain, I don't believe somehow we will ever dry up like Africa, the water board should stop panicking maybe...

Dont think Michaella that we have ever had such heavy rain at this time of year have we? My garden is like suet pud.

I have known June to be quite wet, but not as wet as this.

Not lifted where I am, I'm Veolia - if I could move house 500 yards, I could use a hosepipe, cos that's Thames Water there...

5yrs ago our last holiday in the lake district it was the same then but if I remember correctly we did have a good autumn, hubby came home from work and said thank goodness, I can now clean the caravan, needless to say he`s not a gardener, I won`t tell you what my response was after all my watersaving methods in the spring, it was not polite!!!!!!

I'm with Thames water and am glad they have finally lifter the ban ... just a shame i won't be needing to use the hosepipe with all this rain! ;-)

Tomorrow here we are supposed to have a whole month's rain in a few hours lol ... an occurrance that happens once every 50 yrs apparently ... they're often wrong, so we'll see.

Yes Hywel, we don`t need them but won`t be in trouble if using the hosepipe, I actually saw one in use today, a gardener in the grounds at Nottingham Castle was having a right old session, mind you I `s`pose he had the easy job, lol...

Oh Hywel, I would have thought the last thing your part of the world needed was another month's rain in a few hours...

I saw the forecast Bamboo and its atrocious and I`m afraid lots more flood warnings, we can only pray it doesn`t happen again, something we cannot control no matter how we wish we could..

Well the torrents didn't materialise :o) The sun even came out for a few mins this morning.

It was torrential from approx 2am and lasted a couple of hours, kept me awake Hywel but by the time we got up it had stopped, we`ve had very strong winds all day and boy it was cold but we did get lots of sunshine, so I count that as good...
