Hi there fellow gardeners. Once again my flower arranging class has started. I have not written a blog on it until now as I have been celebrating my birthday over a period of three weeks and I have only just recovered. :o\
It is great fun…uses my artistic skills and has the house filled with flowers.

The Lilies are my favourites too Karen. We have an unusual one next week! I invited three groups to dinner to celebrate my birthday. I was the chef........It was great fun Sandra. Friends, family and book club Ch1.

Three weeks birthday celebration. Wow. I'm lucky if anyone remembers mine lol .....husband has forgotten it twice, which has given great over-dinner conversation with his brothers & sister-in-laws. My favourite arrangement is the last one ....pink carnations, I think? I went a couple of times to our local floral arrangement group & enjoyed it, but they did have some very closed ideas on what one should be doing, so I didn't pursue it. Maybe when I retire ......

It was my 60th Dwyllis....you have to let your hair down. I had three dinner parties for twelve people.
My flower arrangment class is very laid back. There is always a lot of laughter and chat. The results also vary a lot. We all bring different vases and flowers.

The lillies are lovely are Linda. You are a young looking 60. Very talented too. I had lillies for my birthday on 6/11, lot older, and not too thrilled about it. The lillies revived my senses when they opened and lasted nearly 3 weeks. We dined at the pub with friends, as my dinner party throwing days are over. Lovely to have your dad's watercolours on your walls too. Mine will probably grace the charity shop in the fullness of time.

Hi Dorjac....we are both Scorpios then. Each member of the family has a few of my dad's watercolours. I love them....he was very good. I am a bit tired now after all my celebrations, but Christmas is on the horizon. :0/ I like the Lilies too Bloomer and Scotsgran. Thanks Sandra...hope you are still enjoying your painting class.

Linda, one of the birthdays my OH forgot Was my 60th, in March this year! Neither of us has ever made a big thing of our birthdays ...we usually just have a quiet meal out, but I must admit that I did expect dinner out & a bunch of flowers & box of chocs. I'm a cradle-snatcher ....I'm six Weeks older than my OH, so my 60th arrived a few weeks before his. He felt so guilty that he forgot, especially since I put up decorations & balloons for his ....& baked him a cake with icing & candles. He said he was hoping I would forget his, but I wasn't going to let him off that lightly lol. Belated birthday wishes for your 60 th.

Barry wouldn't dare forget my birthday Dwyllis....both he and my two sons forgot one year so I am glad to say there has been no replete of the incident. I did all the cooking for the three parties......Barry invented a table for twelve. It was great fun. The Book Club gave me a token for £100 .00 to buy plants. :0)

Amazing how you can drift past someone's birthday and you suddenly realise, right out of the blue. It's a sudden shock and oopsadaisy!!! What to do to remedy????

Actually Barry and I have missed our wedding anniversary more times than we have remembered. It is two days before Christmas and we are usually in a flap. I remember before and then after. Trouble is we have been married thirty seven years this year.

Lovely flower arrangements Linda, but I love those pictures on the wall behind.

Thanks Stroller...... as I said they were painted by my father. We have a house full of paintings but they are in our bedroom so that I look at them every night. He took up painting when he retired....up until then he lived the dream through me.

Linda, strangely enough my OH never forgets our wedding anniversary! I'm more likely to forget it than he is. Lol
