Hellebores

I don’t know how long these last in water, but it is the first time I have grown them and felt they would be safer picked than subjected to the wind and rain that we are having.
I have never seen weather like this that just tosses anything around the garden heavy benches, tables, a cold frame, so how can a little plant survive.
I suppose Spring will come sometime, or are we paying for our lovely Summer last year.

I have one that has loads of blooms on it, started opening before xmas and still going strong, even though the poor thing has really taken a battering since then, its very resilient and is still showing off its blooms, defying the elements really, lol......

Lizzie - I've heard the way to stop them drooping is plunge them up to their necks in almost boiling-water for a few seconds. Never tried it myself, as I don't 'do' flower arranging
