…. are ….

Centaurea chieranthifolia … i love this !

Scabiosa ‘Blue’

Veronica gentianoides ‘Tissington White’

Erigeron ‘Azure Fairy’ …. this is such a tough plant and flowers from now until late autumn :-))

Centaurea (can’t remember its name at the mo!)

Lychnis viscaria

Phlox ‘Candy Stripe’

Dicentra ‘King of Hearts’ … a lovely low growing one :-))

Phlox (can’t remember!)

Loropetalum ‘Fire Dance’

Thalictrum delavayi ‘Hewitts Double’

Phlox ‘Amazing Grace’

Aquilegia ‘Clementine Dark Purple’

Part of the ‘pink wave’ … a long border i’ve divided into pink, purple and white ‘waves’ of perennial colour.

Part of the white wave … this isn’t as colourful yet, the things there are mostly yet to flower !

Sorry about the senior moments with some of the names, they’ll come to me in a few hours ;-)

Smashing pics Louise! Such wonder and colour on your garden and love seeing the different varieties you seem to have.

Your pics are, as always, superb!

A real plantslady's garden. The Clementine aquilegia is unusual and pretty too. If I get any special ones I never seem to see them again.

That centaurea is fab-u-lous! but what about that loropetalum...never seen this before...it is wonderful! Is this quite rare Louise, or is it just too tender for Scottish gardens? I have never ever come across it....

15 May, 2010

Thanks Karen, that centaurea's gorgeous isn't it :-)))

The Loropetalum is a bit difficult in some gardens .... it's reputed to be quite tender but it seems okay here !
Even more surprising is that i planted in the autumn - or was it actually the winter .... either way, it shouldn't have survived the winter but it did !

I know Spritz lost hers and another friend lost hers the winter before.
They're a relative of the common yellow flowered witch hazel - this one's bronze leaved and pink flowered :-)))
I think i might relocate it to a place where it's easier to see it - at the mo it's in a mixed border and i think perhaps it should stand alone.
