These pictures were taken today by my partner, unfortunately he had his camera set to ‘large’ picture size and they won’t upload onto GoY – so there aren’t many pictures here, and as i’m not too good on resizing them, i’ve not posted many !
Also, i’m not very ‘up’ on wildfowl and have had to use an bird book to identify them …. please tell me if i’ve labelled them wrongly :-/

Eider

Shelduck

Ruddy Duck

Ruddy

Greylag Goose

Pochard ?

Very good photos. I like the close ups. Good action shot of the Shelduck and the expression on the face of the Flamingo is brilliant.

What lovely ducks. All the ponds are frozen in Glasgow, so the ducks don't look as contented as your do!

I am no good with my digital camera. So am doubly enjoying the photographs of the ducks and the goose. All we have here are mallard ducks and loons. Then there are the Canada geese. Two of whom have already been announcing their return to our area. As they are making daily flying rounds. I can hear them coming from quite a distance away, as these two are inveterate conversationalist!

Lovely photographs and lovely waterfowl! thanks for sharing them with us.
