What I've been up to this winter.

The weather has been cold, wet, and even snowy this year and I’m very much a fair weather gardener, so what have I been doing?
I’ve been using my time creatively of course! All watercolours :o)
This rose might look familiar – I posted the photo a while ago.
A fun exercise, using warm and cool colours to show how light is reflected (warm is reflected from the ground, cool from the sky usually)
More flowers – a faded hydrangea.
Echinacea flowers
My favourite flower!
A still life for a change :o) I’m very happy to say that this one has sold already – more money for my garden!
I’ve also finished a portrait of my youngest daughter and a quick sketch of a racehorse (which also sold yippee)
Thanks to TT for suggesting I post these in a blog instead of in the photo album!
Just for TT, some dogs I’ve painted in the past….
Sally
Ginger
Fred

Thanks for all the lovely comments! Watercolour painting is my first passion, but it has led me to more hobbies, first was photography and now gardening! My aim is to be able to spend time in the garden painting my own flowers from life!
