Hello everybody
It has been dreadful weather today heavy rain and very windy but I am very cheerful having just received an early birthday present. The container is full of smiling violas called Sunny Side Up.
The violas are planted in a plastic liner within the pot so when the plants have finished you just lift the liner out so there is no soiled pot. I think a brilliant idea.

Many happy returns Marjorie. Does the pot have a drainage hole? it looks like terracotta but as its sitting on the table without a saucer it made me wonder. the plastic liner sounds like a good idea.

Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes.
My birthday is not till the 25 October then we are going on a cruise.
We are still having lots of rain and winds but the garden needed the water!!
Steragram ,yes the clay pot has a drainage hole in the base. It is now outside under the front porch.
