My amaryllis was so heavy so when we got up this morning it had toppled over it spite of being staked.
I have now cut the flower and put it in water. It is really beautiful and is called appropriately Happy Memories.
.
A very happy New year to you all.

And this is my new Orchid

They are both really lovely Marjorie. Such a shame about the amaryllis, they do that sometimes don't they. My daughter bought me Apple Blossom at Xmas and it has 3 stems! So I will have to watch it as they mature..

Thank you for the messages, I've tried replying but for some strange reason, there's no send word to click on???
Yes, my son and family live on Sandy Bay Road, another couple of weeks though and they will be returning to Sydney. They've been here just a year and have loved it apart from the cold grey winter. Ferntree is not far away...Hobart is,beautiful, we went to the top of Mount Wellington as soon as I came, what a view! Russell Falls are incredible and I am enjoying the Royal Tasmanian Botanical gardens very much...I've spent the whole morning there today..
Hope all's ok with you xx

Thank you Janey. I agree Tasmania is a fantastic place to live. The scenery is beautiful. We also loved the Botanic Garden. We also have visited Sydney, a lovely city. Unfortunately whilst we were there it rained non stop so we didn't get to the Botanical Gardens. I will see my family in Tuscany this year, can't wait.
