We have to accept what the weather throws at us don't we but doesn't it frustrate you when you're eager to get a job done, we've had snow here again so not much being done outside.

Really you should have treated the hut wall before putting the frame up ! Job for the helpers.

Hi Lincslass i so fully agree with you it is very frustrating.
It was raining all day here after changing my jeans 3 times as they were soaked, this is how far i got after all day.I would normally have got further if the weather would have been kind. With a break in the weather today i have managed to treat all the wood after i finished work:))))))
Hi Dianebulley dont think the helpers wont to help any more too cold. The shed as already been treated with a absorbent water repellant normally used for bricks. It soaked into the wood when i first built it,which now makes it hard to paint it with normal wood paint as it repels the water based colour ,The shed is ten years old and still as no rot at all even with the last greenhouse which was attached to its side.

Thats interesting. I have used the absorbent water repellent on bricks, never thought of using it on wood.
Recently the side wall of a house in Corby collapsed because it was built with new bricks that had not been fired properly, too soft.
It best to hunt around for some reclaimed ones.
Kettering Bricks were the hardest in the country.
These flats were built with reclaimed ones. My pictures are all hanging on steel pins in 5/8ths inch plaster. A dad tried to drill through them to fit a Rawlplug to hang a picture, and the bricks broke the drill !

Hi Dianebulley,i understand what your dad went through but we use to call them fire bricks cause your drill bit end went red raw as it couldnt get through them .I agree they are the best bricks.
Hi Fran thankyou for your comment glad you liked it .
Hi Paul i have found now with putting all my new plants etc in its a bit small may have to enlarge it next year lol.

You're brilliant mark :D
I hope you'll be able to finish your greenhouse soon, and I'm looking forward to seeing the things you'll be growing in it :o)
