En route to Yelverton we stopped at Chagford.

Chagford is a small , picturesque town in Devon on the north east of Dartmoor.
In the very centre is the Market house which is nicknamed ‘The Pepperpot’.
The shape is octagonal and each side is a local shop.
Chagford has many individual eateries…local, fresh food used too.
There were a few mini gardens and alleyways I spied to show you.
Huge Fuschia hidden away.
It was so good to see the small, retail shops doing well there. Not a supermarket in sight.
If you are near this pretty town ,do make a visit…you wont be disappointed.

We've stayed at Drewsteignton a few times in the past and found Chagford off the beaten track. I endorse your view: it's well worth a visit and has a pleasant atmosphere all of its own.

Sorry, Meadow, just seen your question. Yes, it's a village a few miles north. Lots of good walks!

Such a pretty little town, Julia! Very picturesque indeed. Looks like you had beautiful, warm weather too. I agree it’s great to see the little businesses thriving and doing well. These shops feel so much more personal don’t they! I’m liking your snaps of little lanes and cottage gardens, I do love to see little hidden gems.
