September garden in late sunshine.

Just popped out to catch some late afternoon photos after 2 hours of painting .Was beginning to feel somewhat stiff!
Large red hips from the wild rose. This rose appeared from nowhere just in the right place too!
The Thuja needed trimming this morning to balance the shape…
The 2 grasses are shown at their best when the evening sun is directly above them
Looking across the drive border.
Aster against the Festuca Glauca.
Slowly jazzing up the forgotten area.New stain on fencing and few new containers.
View of those huge trees which drop their leaves demanding our bagging up services. The job is endless…if only the farmer would reduce their heights.

Ah yes but reducing the height of those lovely trees would spoil their outline in winter.Don't you love the sight of a blue sky through the tracery of bare branches? That photo is beautiful -an easy winner in my book!

I agree with Lincs, Julia..it does all look stunning!
I thought I had lost my aster in the hot weather , but when we came home after our holidays, I was pleased to seeing it doing so well again!

I am fine now Julia thanks. No pain and can walk without my stick.
I meant to ask you if the Thuga minds being cut back at all as there is one in the front garden which is a very weird shape now.

Beautiful pics, Julia. That aster is so floriferous, love the colour too! I agree, that glow captured is quite serene..I noticed it this afternoon here, as I finished some garden tasks…I sat down and caught the warm sunshine after a trimming session…it was such pleasant weather today.

garden is looking brilliant Julia. The long slanting light always does a good job on photos.
The asters do look good at this time of year.
