Rich not too well…tested to make sure, thankfully it must only be a throat and chest bug.
Set off down the local country lane and thought I would photo just the trees for a change.I’m always showing floral photos. They are beginning to show their framework of branches now which I love to see.
Back home the next photo is the Cercis tree.
View of trees from the front garden. If only the farmer would lower their heights. We are always inundated with the leaves. Most we bag.
Walking up the drive I noticed this Clematis is flowering again.
‘Waterfall’ Acer below.
Thank you for looking.

I love trees Julia and the walk through the avenue of them was lovely.
Couldn't you use the leaves for a mulch?
I hope Rich will be better soon and that you don't get it!

I hope Rich is better soon. OH has been collecting leaves from beneath 'our' chestnuts. Your local walk looks appealing; as you know, I love the trees! Someone on the estate was telling me today that their double blue clematis is flowering for the 3rd time this year!

Lovely stroll Julia. Your Cercis is a bit like mine … now turning orange. And I love the little waterfall Acer.
Good to know your OH is feeling a bit better 🙂.

Opps !!!....I liked it but forgot to post, I'm like your hubby and suffering , he has my sympathy, ironically mine started the evening of the day I had my flu jab, perfectly alright before that... Your photographs are lovely, the trees at this time of the year are so beautiful, I think they even surpass springtime when the blossom is out, like you I also like them in the winter months, a strong tree appearing through a mist can be quite magical ....

It started as a streaming head cold and sore throat, now has gone to my chest, no surprises there M'land as I'm asthmatic and get affected when its wet and damp anyway., I'm rattling when I breathe at the moment but admit I'm feeling a lot better than I was..xx

M'land above is the Paul you were asking about... Sincerest apologies Paul I could not think of your name, the other day, its an age thing, sadly comes to us all, lol...should have remembered really , we both knew you liked conifers so knew we had the right person, that must be your claim to fame..

Thankyou very much Meadow, that cheered me up!. I.m up and moving but it has been unpleasant but the worst thing was I also had a fall , banged my head on the floor, and bruised the base of my spine as well as the chest infection, so lots of fun was had by all.
And I just promised to find out if Bamboo is still around and i can 't for the life of me remember who was asking....Old age is not for wimps. I will win in the end, see if I don't....

Oh poor OH Julia. Sounds pretty poorly. Thankfully not covid, but, still unwell with horrid symptoms. Hope he feels better soon!
Your blog is lovely, I enjoyed the scenic stroll. Lots of very colourful and attractive greenery/trees too.
Dad and I went for a little walk after lunch, not long back. Started raining again!!!
That clematis flower is a pretty pink surprise.
