I just had to write this whilst looking and listening to Monty and Jo Swift yet again trying to win us over with the Korean garden…
I am sure it is so typical of that country but it doesn’t appeal in any way.I wouldn’t call it a ‘garden’..
Maybe a piece of uninteresting landscape? I wonder how many people will adopt that style.
There didn’t seem to be any sense of joy there and that’s one emotion I like to feel each time I garden.(minus the aches and pains!)

I'm not sure how moving endangered species from one side of the world to the other will help them become less endangered! (I think this is what the show garden was supposed to be highlighting.. ) I caught most of the gardens for the first time yesterday, what an uninspiring bunch!

So pleased Chris Beardshaw won the People’s Choice Award - a proper garden at last!!!

I was pleased see that Chris won too! He was on the Beechgrove Garden show a few years back and he transformed a large pond and also developed a large woodland stumpery, amongst lots of other lovely things!

Julia, I have just the National Trust which features an article by Chris Beardshaw on Hidcote Gardens. He now lives close to those gardens in Gloucestershire apparently.

I haven't watched any Chelsea for several years now. But someone will love it, for its 'simplicity'
