Last Spring we came upon this pretty park…not 5 miles from us!They always say we ignore our immediate surroundings to travel further away.There is a safe,fenced off area for children and for us adults a welcome sign to the main park.
We caught the changeover of Summer bedding to Autumn planting just in time.
Whilst we were there the hoot of the steam train sounded …the line runs right alongside the park.The journey starts from Lydney junction and continues to Parkend in the Forest of Dean.A favourite with children.Reminiscent of
years gone by.
Within the park is The Four Seasons cafe ,a bright and cheery place with outside seating available.
The cafe looked out onto a large wild flower area just coming to an end,only a few flowers left.
Very different from our usual lake walk …I’m sure we will return here ..

Thank you FF...we always knew it was there but strangely went further afield for outings.Will definitely visit in the Spring to see the bulb displays.
