A few of years ago we moved the green bins down to an area at the bottom of the drive making it more practical for us to manage. We used a pink natural stone as a base to the area.
.Since then
the end post has become quite wobbly and needed to be replaced. Ray,our tree man is very good at doing these types of jobs.thankfully..he suggested making a gate/ 1/2 door from boarding with a phantom post at the unhinged side, to completely enclose the bins so that they become out of sight. So we went along with that idea and after a coat of Cuprinol. It seems to have turned out quite well.Infact too smart an area for the bins really!!

The cascading variegated ivy on the left of the gate is camouflaging a tree that was felled many years ago.

That looks extremely neat, keeps the bins out of sight, a job well done by Ray!

The cascading Ivy is stunning.

Looks really nice & tidy. I think the bins are so unsightly but a necessary evil.

A great idea Julia! I have had to look for your blogs again as it doesn't come up on my page even though you were added to my favourites.
I looked through my favourites again and you weren't there! Can't understand as you used to be and your blogs and pictures always came up on my page!
Looking through them, I couldn't believe how many had left the site.
