A good days work

What a lovely bright sunny day here in Essex. Its even warmer than its been for days. Good day for clearing. After the heavy rains last night, it brought down a lot more leaves off the oak tree, so spent 2 hours raking that lot up. Only got about a ton more to go. Then decided that as the ground was so wet, that it would be good to move the new Raspberry canes back against the fencing, as the new canes tend to creep accross the veggie plot. Then moved an immigrant cotoneaster that had decided to grow in front of one of my the compost bins, to a safer place within the shrub border. Dont want “him indoors” destroying that when he helps me drag out the compost for the veg. So, on the whole, I think Ive had quite a good day

Sounds like you've been on a different planet to many parts of Britain, which have had a rainy Sunday with gusty breezes.
It was a bit warmer than previous days, but not inviting enough to go out and brave the elements.
It's good to know you had some sunshine and completed some of those outdoor clearing jobs. :o)

We've had a few dry days here in Wales but very cold. Glad you were able to get a lot done.

Yes Ive just done a similar clearance. Every time I go out in the garden I have to stop and look at it, and get that 'feel good' feeling

I raked up a whole load of ash leaves yesterday and after the gales last night it looks as bad as it did before! And there was me feeling good because it looked so tidy!
SIGH.....

Glad to hear it - we still have heavy cloud, cold winds and drizzle here. I haven't been in the garden today - really couldn't face it.
