Jumping in muddy puddle....

well I havent really had much to say for a few days,,,hehe not like me im usually one to ramble. Whilst I have been quiet I have …well we have been very busy here. Hubbys wildlife pond/puddle has now got plants around and in. With a few days of completely staying away as its was to wet and windy today we have been back out and tackling the mess the wind created and got some planting done.
we bought a few grasses and some wild flowers today, and I also planted what I thought was loosestrife but I have a funny feeling Ive actually planted Eupatorium purpureum either way I think it will be fine where it is instaed of a pot.
I was in the greenhouse which is right opposite and I saw a couple of blackbirds having a bath in there, havent seen the frog back yet. Hubby has put lots of various feeders and boxes around the area to attract the birds etc. Just a case of wait and watch.
And the best part would be some great plants a lovely young lady sent us Acoris, yellow flag Iris, some oxygenator, water mint, a piece of lily and some yellow buttercup type flower also. So these are all happily doing what they do best.

it will be nice to see how it progresses. which wild flowers did you buy? I have spare red/pink campion and cowslip if you are interested. send me a pm either way ;o)

Mookins your puddle is looking fab. I love the grasses you have planted.....are they Fescue grasses?
Watch out for that crow......I have one in my garden that keeps "washing" all his food in the bird bath before he eats it. Fine and dandy but he had a dead mouse in there the other day and left the dismembered remains floating in the bath!! Grrrrrr

This is shaping up really nicely.
