We have just had the heaviest hailstone in many years here in Bournemouth, followed by thunder and lightening OH managed to get some pics!
It lasted about 6 minutes then the storm which soon passed by us but it was spectacular even though it has most probably ruined some of my plants!.

Thanks all I will tell Brian you all liked his pics, ha ha Sticki thought the title would appeal to you :) The weather is definitely unpredictable. If I am feeling better tomorrow I will survey the damage, been to cold to venture out except for over the road literally to the doctors.

Oooh nasty! We've had hailstones in the past that have knocked lumps of our tomato plants! Hope you have no lasting damage from that storm? What lovely skies following the storm.

I really hope your plants are okay - a typical April this year. There are lovely pics , we have that table and chairs - bought from Asda :))) nice Cloud pics - good old cold front clears the air at least :))))))))

Thanks all for your comments there are still hail stones in the pots and on the grass this morning so I am guessing it was pretty cold in the night. But the sun is out so hopefullly that will thaw today. Will try and get out and see if any damage has been done!

Haha Paul well spotted got them in the sale think it was £60 for four chairs and a table:)))) Good old ASDA!

Hail? A terrible thing to happen. Luckily we don't have it very often in this cool country. I come from a hot country where hail is something very common and I saw it as big as a table tennis ball destroying everything within a few minutes.

Hi Costas that sounds terrible it must have been so dangerous for anyone caught in it!!
11 Apr, 2012
Blooming heck that is amazing. Hope it hasn't done too much damage.

Hi Oliveoil I know couldn't believe it will go out soon and see what damage has been done!

You were not on your own Nana we had it too, unfortunately didn`t have my camera to hand, not that I could have got such super shots as your OH especially the last three.
Hope the antibiotics are doing their job and your feeling better.
11 Apr, 2012
Thanks Stroller will tell OH and I think I am turning a corner today not so bad so hopefully the stronger anti biotics are kicking in:)

Did your plants survive, Nana? We had a hailstorm here today, and it did bash the Amelanchier blossom, but there's still plenty left - phew! Beautiful after-the-storm sky pic :))
