the ninth open gardens made £7000 for the local hospice this year and the lady from the hospice came round my garden aswello as about another 100 people which is the most ive ever had . a lot of people chose to come to mine first this time as on a map of gardens mines all out on its own . people were very interested in it as im the only artist/sculpter . as one lady said after seeing asicly a lot of plants and flowers my garden was pleasantly surprising . I just thought id let you all know .

yes I was racking my brains on what to do on there that would be different . I thought sugar skull in mosaic or colourful indian elephant profile . then I sore this pattern which was like this ish . I just baught some chalk did a squiggly line , broke the tiles and tiled in one colour up to them then did the same in white . the black ones cost £50 and I got the white ones out of a skip lol . im going to paint the grout between the white ones black and white between the black ones . I got some black masonry paint left over from the wall and I got some white for £6.95 out of aldi lol .

Sounds good! It's a very nice design. It's a good companion to the black wall.

A grand tour, with some things I hadn't seen before - makes up for not being able to attend in person! Its good to know it was such a success - everything shipshape and even the tree man had had a haircut!

I've been watching out for this blog, Leigh! I'm so glad the Open Gardens day was such a success. You had a lot of visitors! Your garden looks fantastic - I bet they were impressed, and amazed if they hadn't seen it before. Now you can spend some time relaxing on that sofa! ?
