Thank you, Pam! I'd have kept the old one, but the photo's not stored on the iPad, and I'm afraid I couldn't be bothered to fire up the laptop! I should store them online really, I suppose. Anyway, new account, new image!

OH has no online persona whatsoever, Sheila or gardening one for that matter! His only experience of the internet is when I show him photos or videos of things that I find funny. As you can imagine, they meet with varying success... (That makes him sound grumpy. He's not! Well...hardly ever!)

Sounds like my OH Melchi, and he is the same not grumpy just not into IT but does think some of the videos are funny when he sees me laughing he comes over to take a look. lol. Not interested in learning new things bit of a stick in the mud with new things. lol.

He bought me an iPad for my last but one birthday, so I certainly can't grumble - though I'm not sure he would have done if he'd realised quite what a successful gift it would prove to be! ?

lol I bought my hubby an ipad for Christmas year before last, he does use it but very very rarely, little granddaughter uses it more than he does and she is only 15 months old. lol. and of course so do I lol.

Children love iPads! My 22 month old granddaughter is an expert, swipes and clicks away until I hide it. She's beginning to suss all the likely places and if she can't find it points at the different locations I've used. I have got a good app of nursery games which she enjoys. She likes YouTube and can load it and her favourite videos, this week it was Peppa Pig. I'm getting quite hooked on some of the CBeebies programmes!

Lottie has learned how to scroll the YouTube music videos and pesters to watch but gets bored very quickly. We have some nursery games on ours for her, but she is not too impressed now with them will have to get them up dated me thinks.

The boredom threshold is very low! Lenora is just beginning to put words together. Our son has breakfast with us when he brings her on Thursdays, so we get a lot of patting the chair after he's gone with "Daddy chair". It's such an interesting and exciting time, isn't it?

It certainly is a brilliant and exciting time. Lottie just starting to say words in her little way, although Dad and Grandad is very clear, also yeh yeh yeh for yes and shaking her head for NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO which is used quite often. lol

When I was a fairly new member, I confused a couple of people who assumed I was male because of my user name. When I chose it, I mistakenly thought I was choosing a password, so the laugh was on me really. Over the years I have got rather fond of my online persona so I didn't want to lose the name. I wanted to add an exclamation mark, but punctuation characters are not acceptable. It was a bit of a bind opening a new account, but certainly not difficult. I have kept the old one open as well. I'm not the first person to have opened another account for one reason or another and most of my regular contacts seem to have followed me, I'm happy to say.

I opened a new account in Nov 2009. I got fed up with being called by a cat's name !
Unlike you however, I deleted the other account and rewrote some of the 'better' blogs because people had saved them on their favs.

I remember that you opened a new account, Hywel, and also that Karen did. I finally decided to go for it. But it was only because of the annoying IT failure that meant I couldn't know if anyone had added me as a favourite or sent any kind of PM. In one way, that doesn't really matter, but it was frustrating seeing PMs mount up and not be able to access or respond to them. My only regret - which is trivial - is that my whole name doesn't come up on my posts. Isn't that silly? I appear as Ohmelchised, which I hadn't considered when I chose the name for the new account. I think it looks strange if you don't know I am
Melchisedec. But it really doesn't matter, and the new account is going well, so why worry?! Oh dear - I do sound a bit fussy, and I'm not really. Really, no really - I'm not. Not usually... ?
