Special visitors in the Garden

A flash of green caught my eye this afternoon and there, on the feeder were 3 Parakeets!! We have a colony in the forest nearby but we haven’t seen them for a while.
Well, now here they were, eating all the seed and one of them making me laugh with his/her antics whilst trying to get some of the action! Enjoy.
It was a bit sad as the third one didn’t get any this time.
I thought they might have been a pair and a juvenile from last years hatching. Anyway I’m sure they will be back!

My son used to see them in the park near Royal Holloway Uny. You must be in that area as my friend in Addlestone in Surrey has them in her garden. It is wonderful.

Very agile and pretty - so strange to see them in the British climate. Nice photos, especially the next to last one!

Wonderful photo s I too like the collard looking on.. I wonder where they are from never seen these in the wild before.

Beautiful birds Pam ... last time I saw them was on a visit to Kew Gardens ... couldn't believe my eyes!

Thank you, I believe there are quite a few colonies around London where I live, must have escaped at one time and managed to survive our weather!!!!!
