Well, the wind is still blowing and the rain continues to pour down. Thus far only one casualty. Of cours it had to be the latest paeoni to burst into glorious bloom. Silly girl decided to do it whilst the wind and rain were at their worst!! Naturally I hadn’t staked her in time so I now have one very sad lady, with broken neck, lying face down in the soil! As for the rest of the garden, everything is looking bright, cheerful and waving merrily as I make my way round with stakes, twine and clips etc.
I won’t include a photo. It’s too horrible and will just send you all rushing for your tissues.

Oh Dear - sad for you because of the damage but envious of you for the rain as we haven't had much at all.
