Well everyone, thanks to your crossed fingers, prayers and rain-dancing, the rain is falling quite steadily.
After only one hour of it, my garden looks greener and brighter. No doubt the weeds will have doubled in number by this evening but what the heck, suddenly I don’t seem to mind:-)
Time to get outside and take some pics I think.

I say lucky you too - rain here same as for Stroller - just a splash to remind us of what it actually looks like in case we had forgotten it having been so long since it last rained !

It rained steadily in South Cheahire late this afernoon with more forecasted :-). I know what you mean about everthing in the garden looking much better even after such a short time.
I like your pond and stream, you also have some lovely views over open countryside something I would love to have - my garden is my view as I live in the middle of a housing estate -I'm just jealous.

We desperatly need rain here in Wuppertal Germany and in the rest of the country as well, the ground is rock hard with cracks appearing in the lawns, the trouble here is we live in the bottom of a valley and when the rains comes it never stops, there is a saying here in town that babies are born with an umbrella in their hand, our rain usualy comes from the south west..the direction of Holland and the UK.... Venlo is only about an hours drive from here, and the valley is set at the bottom of the first hills it hits, from us to Holland here are no more hills...just all flat from there right accross to the UK, the rain hits the hills and then pours down, we often sit in the house and see the rain going back and forth accross the valley, but at the moment there is no rain forecast, my water butts are nearly empty, but realy I donĀ“t want to use the hose pipe..only when it gets realy bad.....tap water is so expensive here.

Ah thank you! You sent the rain down to Dorset it started last night and had plenty today, even a bit of thunder and lightening. Oh wonderful, no more watering for a bit.
The last time it rained here was the 30th March, poor plants were begging for it. Thanks for showing your lovely garden. The aquilegia espec. looks wonderful
