Looking terrific.

Thanks Paul
The reason it's so lush and green is that it NEVER stops raining here!

We're the opposite here in my neck of the woods - there's no rain for around 9 or 10 months of the year! Your garden looks so lush and green, I'm rather envious.

Yes, Skillen, so I hear. We hardly ever get any here. I've just come back today from a few days in the north east and they certainly seem to have plenty up there(Tyne side/Northumberland). But whern I got home today, I see my grass is looking worse thann when I went.Very brown and looking sorry for itself. The problem this year is it's been so very windy as well as dry. I've never seen my lawn in such a bad way! I think I'll have to put some seed in with the top dresssing this autumn, after scarifying, to thicken it up!

Love the "droopy" tree in the centre. I want one - what is it please?

Hi Gwenvokes, sorry I haven't answered your question 'till now I've been on holiday. The tree is called c.deodara 'Aurea'. You will probably have to order it,from your local garden centre as I did. I bought this tree ten years ago. It was about 2 feet high and it grows quite quickly once established.Make sure it is Aurea which is much smaller than C.deodora which grows to 80ft!

Looking at your beautiful tree Skillen after your message on Dawns page. This really is a stunner and ideal for what I'm looking for, for my garden. We're altering the bottom of the garden which will open up a not too pretty view so I'm looking for a pretty, not too wide evergreen tree to plant three quarters of the way down the garden........I'm sure this will be beautiful there. Thanks Skillen!!....:o)

I've just followed you over Janey. Its a beauty isnt it. I love to see the new growth tips. I think it would be a good choice Janey. Very nice Skillen.

Thanks Janey and Dawnsaunt. I'm sure it will look perfect at the bottom of your garden Janey, this one is 10 years old. It grows quite quickly in the first few years which is good. I doesn't really matter how tall it grows in my garden as it is next to very high trees! I agree Dawnsaunt I love the lighter colour of the new growth.

Beautiful. And lush green!!! Unlike my front lawn which is brown and crisp. We've had very little rain here this year and the wind seems to be constantly blowing and drying the ground out.
