Lovely. I'm not really "into" roses, but I do like "Whisky Mac" for its colour (and name, too).

I'm sure it will Drc, It's a good quality rose. I wish I knew more when I first started buying roses as some are definitely better than others. Now when I buy I don't just choose by the colour.

I had Whiskey mac and Doris Tisterman in my first garden I dont like roses that open too far.

Whisky Mac is one of my favourite roses. I just love mine and its so fragrant and vigorous!!. Do you have any problems with powdery mildew on this rose? I have heard it is susceptible but I haven't seen any on mine.

Gilli, I think it's called 'Simply the best' is because not only is it beautiful but it's pretty resistant to bugs and weather. Mine is against a 4' fence and has never had any problems, As for my photos, I bought an SLR in the Spring and am learning how to use it. I only know a little so far as there's so much to learn about the camera itself let alone photography generally. It's only a hobby/pastime now that I'm retired so it doesn't matter if I'm slow to pick it up,
