We both bought this - luckily, the Nursery had several plants, so we didn't fight over it! :-))

A favorite of mine, I've got both the dark and light pink ones, can anyone tell me when it's best to move and thin them out.as they're squashed together. louise what sort of conditions are you growing yours in.

Heron, mine are in a north facing border, infront of and sheltered by an Escallonia hedge.
The soil's on the dry side and slightly alkaline, which i have to water in dry spells.
They're growing alongside other herbaceous plants there.

They do like to be damp - and it's flowering time, so they shoudn't be moved now, Heron. Wait until the spring!

I have this colour maybe not same na,e but they are a real show piece ingarden at this time of year .
I managed to get a root cutting last week of the pale pink that is near to white.
I saw it in someones garden and asked if I could swap my red for her white and I got.
I am so thrilled.

That was a nice swap Scotkat :-)
I agree about them being a showpiece, three clumps are flowering at the moment here and having pink in the garden in the late autumn and winter is something i love ..... it keeps the summer thoughts there when everything else is getting quite dull.
:-))

Just thinking about the Kaffir Lillies.......Do you remember Mr. Crocosmia who was on here last year........he also grew the Kaffir Lilies.....I bought a pale pink Mrs. Heggarty from him....you could message him about different ones he may have......:o)

Am I right in thinking that Mrs Hegarty tends to spread a bit like Montbretia.

This photo stood out like a beacon on your page 2 - a closer look does not disappoint, makes me feel this is the best photo I've ever seen...
