Do you know any of the other Coprosmas?

I've not seen this one before. You'll need to buy yet another greenhouse.

Ah! Everything is in hand - (I hope!) I am still on the track of a replacement 'Karo Red' though....then I saw this. ;-)

No Spritzhenry not a plant I 've ever seen before.
2 Nov, 2009
My Karo red has been with me for a few years now. I'll check if it will root if I take cuttings and forward one to you if I am successful.

I had a collection of them last year, Simbad - and lost all except two in the frosts - in spite of fleecing them. I decided to keep the replacements in pots this year - and they're going in the greenhouse, too!
I'll write a blog on them soon - then you will see why I like them so much! :-)
Oh Toto - yes, please - all power to your green thumb! LOL.

Will look forward to that Spritzhenry :-) lovely foliage.

Beatsons Gold and Cappuccino look rather interesting as well? and what about Fireburst ? I could go on...........
2 Nov, 2009
oh!! I do like that one :))))))

I'm glad you like it, Grindle!
Dd - I have Beatson's Gold and Fireburst amongst others. The only problem with Coprosmas is that they are not reliably hardy - Toto has been lucky in keeping his.
I WILL post a blog on the ones I have at some future point! Maybe I'll have found some more by then, eh? LOL.

4 Nov, 2009
Have moved some of the more congested plants to the new bed with the herbs, so it leaves room for all the dahlias I have ordered for next year.....and just taken delivery of two fatshederas one variegated, an Arundo Donax, equisetum jap.......and a Fascicularia Bicolor, a beautiful Lonicera (on My Photos) and a new rose for the arch Madam Alfred Carrier, more plants to come next week!! mostly bulbs, from`Crocus half price,....this really has got to stop, I think I am going to need therapy soon lol (or my husband is!!)

5 Nov, 2009
Grindle did you put any photos on from your last garden with Madam A C. ?
Spritz we are mad think how wealthy we would be.....still what would we do with all the money then?
5 Nov, 2009
LOL. I'd rather have my flowers, wouldn't you? Crazy or not! :-))
5 Nov, 2009
no sorry DD our computer crashed and I lost just about all my pictures, just checked the few I have on webshots, and the only one I have a picture of is Madam Hardy.....sorry :(
6 Nov, 2009
Oh, Grindle - heartbreaking for you! Technology, eh?
6 Nov, 2009
Grindle thanks for looking, sorry to hear about you pc.
Spritz, yes I would rather have my flowers as well.
6 Nov, 2009
my own fault Spritz, I should have backed them all up, as my son frequently keeps telling LOL
7 Nov, 2009
We bought a little box thingy to back all mine up - but I haven't done it yet - Husband seems to have hi-jacked it! Hmmmm - I must do some nagging after your experience!
7 Nov, 2009
I would if I were you, it happens so quickly :(
7 Nov, 2009
Eeeeekkk!!!
7 Nov, 2009
I have put all mine on my ipod, music and photos.
7 Nov, 2009
My trouble is the number of photos I have - we had to buy a box with a hard drive in!
7 Nov, 2009
The ipod acts as a hard drive it takes up to 30,000 photos lol
9 Nov, 2009
Wow! That's a lot of memory!
9 Nov, 2009
It needs to have, my music collection is over 5,000 and growing besides my photos, just keep the good photos now and delete the lousy ones.
