Cheeky little things

I'm following the theme of those animals and birds which seem to manage without complaint even though they have injuries which would stop a man in his tracks. The Jackdaw on the right has a damaged leg but you would never of known by watching his antics.

The foot seems to be at an angle. Amazing how they manage, as you say Toto. Lovely pic :-)

Good that the Jackdaw is apparently coping well, despite the damaged foot.

clever aren't they .. I wonder how so many birds damage their legs ... I was watching a pigeon on the roof of our summer house amongst the rose brambles and I thought he would need rescuing , his wing feathers were caught in the thorns , he was pulling and tugging , I was just about to go out when he freed himself .........

What a fantastic photo, poor fella, he looks well enough though.

Thank you all. He was running and flying around as though there was nothing wrong. They are one of the real characters of the bird world as far as I'm concerned.

Beautiful Jackdaws....always remind me of the Lake District when we used to take the kids......now we have some roosting on the church roof...:o)
Just a little story Toto, out in the car on Saturday we passed a small collared Dove trying to cross the road, so we turned round and I picked it out of the gutter. The left side of its face had been bumped so we brought it home and kept it warm all night....Sunday it was ready for off and as bright as a button even though we doubt whether it would see again from its left eye. Off she flew over the fence.................
