Good shot Arlene! I've had one of these in my garden from time to time. The birds absolutely panic! They don't really worry if the cat is outside, but boy they don't like sparrowhawks!

They are a lovely looking bird but I don't like what they do to our birds when they catch them .. :o(

Nor does Jane Amy .. shes had me moving bird table frequently as they seem to need trial runs to gauge best line of attack .

She was sat near pond as goldfinch bathing then over wall plucked off water and off ..really cant legislate for that can you ?

Other day it tried to hit bird table and missed sat on guttering above my head I m trying to take pic as Jane knocks on window .. what? it missed I ll never get so close Jane says dont care leave goldfinches alone ...

~ I have been out chasing him too I'm afraid~ don't want him having my goldfinches either!~
