Sue - somehow the poorer the soil, the better display they put on ... it's just amazing! I grow some everlastings in my garden and they don't look quite as vibrant .. because they're growing in a potting mix or garden bed of soil that's just a touch too rich for them ( but of course the other plants love it).

Maybe some things are just meant to be wild Bernieh :~)

Now that is beautiful, but also almost an alien landscape to my English eyes!

Bamboo - unfortunately the photo doesn't do justice to the scene ... the colours are far more vibrant than the photo shows. It is indeed a beautiful sight.
