LOL, Bern!! Tt asked me to post this as a pic from a series of blogs am doing re a gardening diary I kept from 1998 - 2001. Yes, I suppose, I went colour mad. Surprised at just how many people like this (including yourself, Di :-)), but it did blend in well with the finished garden, and I liked it, too. :-))
Oops! We just posted comments at the same time there, Di ! :-D

Lol :)
It's no bad thing to go "colour mad" David....sometimes a touch of colour on a hard surface, such as a fence, trellis or shed...can be just what a garden needs, especially if the colour can be linked to surrounding planting.

Many thanks, Di - I feel a whole lot better now - Lol!! Have posted next blog (which has a lot to say on colour). Off to bed now - work tomorrow! Goodnight, "Sweet" dreams!! :-))

Hi David............. 1899 paint ???
Victorian Violet....???
....Does what it says on the tin...???
Went on your pennyfarthing bicycle to collect it from your local store...?
Each time you fully opened the shed door, did that Victorian gentleman smash his nose on the shed ?
But with that purple colour...
... even back then there were hints of Cadbury and chocolate ;o)
...OMG.....this pic is currently on the GOY pictures front page...
...... GoYpedia shed ideas...LOL...LOL...LOL...
.... oh, no wonder...I've just seen who edits that category....;o)

Love the colour looks so summery, that colour would brighten my garden up in winter.

I like this colour, much more original than Alan Titchmarsh blue :)

Lol, Tt! No, I was always careful with his face! I899 paint? Interesting! Was (and still am) a great fan of an 1853 range of chalky emulsion available from a DIY retail chain. Talking of chains (no, this was not our up-to-date outside Victorian loo) I like your "link" between my gardening past and present My shed pic has gone from there now, lol! Had to find a replacement - quickly!! :- D)
I did try blue first of all, Clarice and Gee, but it looked really awful, haha!!

Kinda shocked by the colour of it ..expecting a chocolate brown shed but then perhaps it reflects the wrapper with goodies inside.
22 Nov, 2009
just my kind of colour.............

Not 10 years ago, Bb!!!! But, as Tt said, the purple "wrapping" was possibly a portent of things to come - lol!!!!! :-)) (I, personally, hate that pruple shed now, lol!!!!!!!) :-D)

you will have to repain it david,, chocolate would be good :o)))
