Yes Simbad - this was new for me this year. I needed some help from a GOY friend to find out about it ... there's not much out there on the great googler. Anyway - it appears that this will flower pretty much all through the year ... it just keeps flowering as each new bit of the creeper grows.

Bernieh:

Your Dalechampia is blooming well!
I've seen many at my favorite nursery
here in San Diego. I've been very
tempted to purchase one...however,
I think I'll wait a while. : > )

Mine is taking a while to get established, but it's still produing a couple of flowers every couple of weeks or so ... so I'm pretty happy with it so far.

It sounds good!

From what I've heard from the
head nurseryman (he has one in
his yard) at my favorite
nursery -- they grow quickly and
bloom all year here.

Very smart. Would it grow okay in England?

Faerieflora - from the little I've found out about this plant, I'm pretty sure it needs lots of bright sunlight and warm conditions ... it's a tropical plant and needs a warm climate.

Bernieh:

You're correct...this vine is native to low-lands
of Costa Rica.
