Conifer cones male pollen wind pollination.

This is a picture that I took in May 08 whilst visiting Kew gardens. It is in relation to Bluespruces blog on conifers.
It shows the male pollen leaving the cones via wind pollination or in this case I tapped the branch.

This was great for me as I was just looking into studying a horticultural course, so this really captured my attention as to how things happen.

Amazing Trees....you've captured it beautifully......is it the RHS Stage 2 you are thinking of doing?

It is RHS level 2 i'm doing. I've passed the Hort1 exam and I need to concentrate on the second part.
I can apply in in the Spring at a nearby college to sit the second part in June.
