Lovely to see, Toto, lucky you.

by the time they get to blackpool it will be time for them to go, do they leave our shores in springtime?

I envy all you guys with the raries in the garden, I only see Pidgeons and the odd Blackbird. My little Robin died over weekend. ;o((

Thank you all.He was eating the food that I put on the grass Sixpence. Yes Amy I suppose it does. Sandra, they only come to britain when it's better here than in their own country. Much like the fieldfares and waxwings.

Good of you to clear the snow for him, I was reading to day even when the snow goes not to stop putting food down for them as they will need it even more, I do it all year round, some don't I know, also if there is less in your garden than usual its because the weekest ones have not made it, such a shame.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I do feed the birds all year round Sixpence and I bet the majority of GOY members do as well.

Looks like you have a redwing there Toto. It's been misty first thing here in the morning, is that what is in your picture...........and not a bad photo. We've had the redwings here too Toto.

Yes Lindak
it has been misty here too although it has cleared fairly early on so hasn't caused any problems. Thank you for your comment.

I read in the Eastern Daily Press this morning that they have been sighted in Norwich so I might get lucky yet !

Hopefully Amy. There seems to be lots around.

We've had wagtails in the garden too, Yesterday two of them were having a fight.
16 Jan, 2010
They're no worse than people.

Hear hear Toto...glad the Redwing visited ! Must be wondering why they bothered with these cold temperatures..but we do try.........

My understanding is that the conditions in Scandinavia are exceptionally bad this year so they probably think they're in the tropics.
