My mothers buddleah (sp) and the oleander behind, just the most fresh area. The spring roses had already gone and fall roses not to come yet.

Thank you all again. I'll be passing along to mother. I was spending so much time with the family, coming back to these pics and really taking a good look it is lovely. :-)

Which buddleia (never know quite which spelling to use) is this? Mine never looks so lovely:-)

This nice big one came with the home, so we aren't sure of the name. A great performer though. It is against the house and gets only the late direct hot and strong sun. Watering comes just with the lawn. Soil is rather heavy but it is well established.

It's hard for me to think of hot strong sun in Alaska. I learn an awful lot on this site:-))

Oh, Mother is in southern Utah, winters about 10C and summers 45C. We can get good and warm 30-32C, but not like that and never strong sun.

Thanks Sandra and Aleyna. It is a great spot. I did note many bees but not butterflies. Come to think of it, I haven't seen many butterflies there at all. There must be some though. :-)

Wonderful colours together Gt especially with the soft grey of the clapboard....

Thank you. She's created a lovely spot there. I love the neighbors old place too. Hope they can keep it up, it has been slipping into disrepair.

How lovely. A very pretty side garden.

Thanks. The front is more rose and annuals along the porch, but the the roses were all out of bloom when I was there. This side garden makes up for that during this hot time in summer.

Just gorgeous ... nothing quite like a white oleander to really freshen up a garden bed! Lovely colours.
