Snowballs mate is back ....

They are lovely, the doves we get are the standard collared ones, no white ones yet.

Thats all i get the grey collared ones but i woud miss them if they stopped coming.

Are they white fantails Amy? I always fancied having a dovecote on a stick and having white fantails. Unfortunately my garden is too small:-( I should love to have your visitors though:-)

Thanks all , Snowball has had Fudge as a friend for ages Jacque but this last couple of weeks he has been calling out for a mate , Fudge has had his nose put out on the arrival of this new fantail mate !
Yes they are Fantails Bornagain , Snowball flew into our garden a year ago last September and stayed ,fudge also came and stayed ( he is a racing pigeon ) they have been good friends since .. they are very tame ...

They are lovely, we have a dovecote in the garden, hubby has always wanted one so last year we bought one, would love some doves to go with it, hoping the collared ones will use it........you are lucky to have them in your garden.

Amy, I wonder where he came from, isn't it amazing? Dotty, I'm sure you can buy fantails, i knew someone years ago who had all differently coloured ones. Maybe you could buy a Mr &Mrs and start your own little family:-)

I think we are very lucky to have such lovely birds in our garden DD and to have stayed here for so long , I have no idea where they came from Bornagain I'm just happy for them to stay they give us so much pleasure :o)

Poor Fudge. I'm glad Snowball has a mate but hope you will find one for Fudge too :)

That would be nice Gee , they haven't pushed Fudge right out he was sitting on the summerhouse roof with them , the stranger left in the afternoon leaving Snowball and Fudge together again ........

Aww feel so sorry for Fudge, but it maybe just aBrief Encounter and Fudge will have Snowball back to himself again!

It would be perfect if we could encourage another racing pigeon for fudge Janey ..I like the idea of the lonely hearts column Gee ... ... sixpence do you think they would be queueing up for crumbs to share ..! Carole I think once Snowball has had his romantic moments he will turn back to his faithful friend Fudge .. :o) A birds life is soo difficult ... LOL.......

Yes Ray , I think he will .. this is all very odd , Snowball sends out his mating call in the morning , along comes this bird which then spends the morning or sometimes the day it then goes off again leaving Snowball and fudge together again , We haven't seen it today at all ......

Hmm...strange goings on.Somehow think this may turn out to be one of those on/off relationships...with Fudge refusing to budge !Lol (And why should...was here first !! Please keep up regular bulletins Amy...this is all very fascinating.

Not at the moment Ray , the new fantail hasn't been seen since Fudge sat between them on the roof ... LOL .. they are sitting up there side by side at this moment , funny pair :o)
