We had these visit for the first time too this winter ..very striking markings.....

Great to get a close up, had them in December in a flock but they were all in the Rowan tree too far away to get a good picture.

They are good a camoflage almost couldn't see it....sweet little fellow...

he blends in very well with those leaves lol.

lol true BB. was reading in Birdwatch Ireland that loads of folk here have had them in their garden for the first time this yr
