"Gardening" on my sunny,warm front doorstep this morning. "George" in the choc-coloured planter (bought in 2008 for 50p as was all rusty - so I spray-painted it), was for Grandpa George in our "Willy Wonka" garden theme last year. Now, "he" fits quite well into our "Pirates" theme, too. George is the forename of Mr Darling, in "Peter Pan" (LOL!).

Bought "Pixie" yesterday, as "she" reminds us of pixie/fairy dust - also Peter Pan. Potted up this morning in this nice little wooden "barrel" planter from the local pound store. :-)))

They sound Perfect :)

£1 that was a bargain , it's a lovely little barrel David ! my Iris 's are just beginning to unfold .........

Well, at the price, Amy, it won't matter if it lasts just this year then breaks up, but I did line it with black polythene first. Everything is later this year, isn't it?
