The almost current scene around my GOY chair. Bianca loves the jungle too, she has a nice little arbour under the philo by the stairs. I have moved the hanging plants around.

I am glad to see I am not the only Plantaholic...
I think that they interact with our subconscious to make themselves successful, effecting our natures, giving us a more, feel good feeling.

That lot must keep you very busy, GT :)

Thanks. I do keep busy, but I love being surrounded, I can keep a close eye. I do think they interact with us on a deep level. I've brought home many a sad bargain plant, place them amidst the rest and tell everyone to reassure it.....lol...they always perk up. This is my method of getting through the long dark white winters of Alaska.
I've added a fountain pump to the water butt under the stairs so I almost have running water to keep up with them. :-)

surrounded by beauty GT, do you have to tiptoe through to your chair :o)

Marvellous! I love being surrounded too -sometimes I just want to be outside with my plants. I get quite depressed in the winter. I'm hopeless with indoor plants. I'm not well enough organized to cope with the dark, cold, heating etc. even for myself. I've given up, only have one left (determined to live).

Gorgeous... Good to know that there are other Indoor Junglenuts out there!
They really do create another world, the 'air' is quite different in a house that has plenty of indoor plants.
Plants really help with the depression, especially for you up there in Alaska with no light for so long, keep that sodium burning! :o)

Thanks Milky and San, its a wonderful surrounding, almost like a nice little summer house. :-) The area behind the stairs is all open, so the chair is easily accessible.
Volval, it is wonderful. Having them to care for all winter can beat the blues very well, though you feel otherworldly a bit when it gets really dark. I think your little determined one will go for a long time. :-)
Thank Jj. I love filling up the indoors. The air is very different, often people comment that they feel like they went to Hawaii, well often as people come by.......it was long ago....lol. I don't get the locals winter dry skin. The lights were originally my idea to fight winter depression and grow tomato's. Never did much for tomato but I sure love having it here. I'm looking into fruits like citris and grape now. Must use its energy for something to eat, not just the greenery. lol!

It's a great idea GT, would be wonderful for you to sit under a grape-vine up there! Make sure you post pics, you have some great ideas! :o)

I will. I wish getting those sorts of things were easier here. I would love picking my own fruit while everyone is getting by on shipped in winter greens in the dark. :-) All those fruits are slow to mature, so I keep holding out for a more developed one. I've got a little grape vine to start this spring.

Thanks PP. I love it. This is the shady area, the edge of the light on the hanging plants. I put in another light underneath and have much happier plants. Now the sun is returning.
