To be honest TT , dont really know what to do for him, he's just not eating really, he is hungary all the time he his meowing but what ever i give him he as a sniff at it but does'nt eat it, know i should not give it him but tried him with cat meat wont eat that either, he's still drinking but its like he wonts to eat but cant if you know what i mean, if he is not meowing he keeps going hiding behind the settee, but yesterday he was sick as well, he as hardly eaten at all for a few days, if he does'nt change think i will be back at vets monday with him.

I do understand your worries. I've had similar anxieties over dogs not eating when they are unwell. Maybe wipe something on your finger that he can lick off ? Yogurt, custard, honey ? Just a tiny bit...
Do you have glucose powder ? You can add a little to his water, and it is usually digested easily and will give him a bit of energy...
Big <<hug>> for Smokey. xxx

That must be very worrying for you, Clarice, poor Smokey. I hope he improves over the weekend. Is he still taking his tablets?
20 Mar, 2010
To make him take tables i have to mix with his food, if i do it first think in a morning with just about 1/2 teaspoon of food i can get him to take it just, cats are alot harder to get them eating than dogs i think, as dogs eat a wider choice of food.

give these a spray with water for humidity carol, they love it, rather than to much in pot :o)

What is the name of the plant in your new pots Carol? i have quite a few indoor plants in the conservatory but it is time consuming looking after them , Im much more an outside gardner!
Sorry you are having such a difficult time getting Smokey to eat, Its so sad when you know they are hungry but they just too poorly to eat. I think like Terra suggests plenty of fluids with some GLucose added may help. feel for you Carol as I know what a difficullt time you are going through xx

Carole dont know what the plant is called one of my lot will have bought it for me at some stage, as for Smokey yesterday i went to Asda and got some cat milk and it does say on it that it is a complimentary pet food and he his drinking it and seems abit more content, so he may not feel as hungery as he was.
