It's an evergreen ground cover plant, Amy and Toto. This flower is on the plain green one but I also have a variegated leaf one (but no flowers on that). It is good for growing under trees and shrubs. It spreads very, very slowly in my garden but I don't know if that's because of the clay soil. I would have to lie on the ground to sniff it but, for you both, I will do that and let you know :)
