Fran...If you saw the amount of rubbish that is dumped on the river bank, you would be disgusted....a real tip....

sigh, that's how some people respect the environment - so long as it' snot on their doorstep, it's okay.
5 Sep, 2012
It's a disgrace that people toss rubbish anywhere. They don't seem to be concerned about who's going to pick it up, or how it will ruin the environment and wildlife.
5 Sep, 2012
lol yet they'd get so indignant if someone dumped rubbish on their street! but sadly they don't seem to think of that when they do the dumping. and there are other people to do the clearing up, that's what hte rest of the world is there for, surely??
living in a high-tech society, we can't help but leave footprints on the environemnt, but we can at least try to tread as lightly as possible.

I agree with you Fran, I sometimes wonder where we are going with how the planet is treated. It's not only the youngsters either who are the litterbugs. I always taught my son from a very early age to put his litter either in his pocket if it was small enough, or in the nearest bin. I pick up any litter outside the house. People need to think more about their actions.

sadly, the more we pick up after them, the more they'll let us. People who are caught littering should have a couple of dustbins tipped onto their front doorstep "don't like it? then don't do it to others". it's about time littering was reclassified as ecological sabotage.

I totally agree.............
